In this 5.5-hour asynchronous online training course, LDG’s implementation and dissemination professionals will provide explicit instruction in use of the DYMOND™, a diagnostic assessment that accurately identifies language disorder and dyslexia for K-8th grade students.
This course will specifically cover the following topics:
- Principles of dynamic assessment and how it differs from static assessments
- Research behind DYMOND and how it can accurately identify reading and language disorders with at least 95% sensitivity and 91% specificity
- Administration, scoring, and interpretation of results for the 4 DYMOND subtests: Dynamic Assessment of Narrative Discourse (DAND), Dynamic Assessment of Inferential Word Learning (DAIWL), Dynamic Assessment of Decoding (DAD), and Rapid Automatized Naming (RAN)
- Understanding and scoring student responsiveness
- DYMOND assessment interpretation and intervention recommendations (*sample report provided)
